UPF to support Ranil

The Upcountry People's Front has extended its support to Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe for the Presidential Election.

In a news release yesterday, UPF leader P. Chandrasekaran stated his party was satisfied with the UNP's stance on minority issues and its desire to resolve the ethnic conflict. The UPF has told Wickremesinghe that the estate sector should be part of the development process, he said.

His promises are credible and they can be fulfilled, Chandrasekaran he said, adding that the UPF will campaign for Wickremesinghe's victory at the Presidential Poll.
