Progressive forces rallying round for PM's victory - Health Minister

All current national development projects will come to a total standstill unless people ensure a resounding victory for SLFP candidate Mahinda Rajapakse at the forthcoming Presidential Election, said Healthcare, Nutrition and Uva-Wellassa Development Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva when he addressed several election rallies in support of Prime Minister Rajapakse's Presidential candidature at Hali-Ela, Badulla and Passara recently.

Minister de Silva said, all progressive forces have already rallied round the Prime Minister to ensure his victory at the forthcoming election. Plantation workers in the Hill Country too have assured their support to Rajapakse as he represented a true Sri Lankan identity without any discrimination as to race, caste or religion and was bent on ensuring the rights and privileges of the minorities.
