Six Lankans for World Golfers C'ships in Turkey

SIX golfers Arshad Ahamed, Sunil Jayakoddy, Dilip Kodikara, Shavinda
Fonseka, Ranjith Jayawardena and Lakshman Jayasekera, came out on top of
their respective handicap categories in the two round qualifying
tournament, held over the weekend at the RCGC.
This has earned for them the opportunity to represent Sri Lanka in
"The World Golfers Championship" to be held at the Gloria Resort,
Antalya, Turkey from 19th to 26 November 2005.
Members from the Royal Colombo, Nuwara Eliya and victoria Golf and
Country Resort participated, where the winners were determined on the
two round nett aggregate.
The event organizers for South Asia Region, Pash India conducted the
Sri Lankan qualifier in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Golf Union.
"The world" life style creators will make it possible for the six Sri
Lankan golfers to make it to Turkey.
The President of the SLGU Dion Jayasuriya, the sponsors ambassador
Abhai Varma and Chit Ranjan Bakshi representative from Pash India the
event organizers distributed the awards last Saturday at the RCGC which
was followed by dinner.

'A' winner - Arshd Ahmed. Runner up - Sheron Fernando. 'B' winner -
Sunil Jayakoddy. Runner up - Arjun Fernando. 'C' winner - Dilip Kodidara.
Runner up - Ananda Jayasekera. 'D' winner - Shavinda Fonseka. Runner up
- Gehan Siribaddana. 'E' winner - Ranjith Jayawardene. Runner up -
Roshini Sangani 'F' winner - Lakshman Jayasekera. Runner up - Fran De
