SLSI Deputy Director General states...

DEPUTY Director General of the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI) Dr. L.N. Senaweera referring to our page one story headlined "Beware of non-SLS certified bottled water" which appeared yesterday states:

"Please note that the information given in the news item is incomplete as a number of 'SLS' mark certified Bottled Water Companies has been not included.

Thirty one bottled water companies have been certified under the 'SLS' mark by the SLSI, even though the news item indicates that the number of certified companies is only 21.

The brand names of the manufacturers who have been excluded in the news item are given below;

1. Aqua Pure, 2. Kandy Springs, 3. Royal Waves, 4. Galaboda, 5. Profit, 6. Namal, 7. Beema, 8. Delmege, 9. Ma-tha, 10. Nelu, 11. Laugfs and 12. Opan."
