SLMC will support candidate not subservient to LTTE - Hakeem

At the forthcoming Presidential Election, the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress will support a candidate who is not subservient to the LTTE, states SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem.

Hakeem made this observation when he briefed the media following a discussion among SLMC representatives other than those of the North and East, held at Digana Village Hotel on Saturday.

Explaining the SLMC stance on this matter, Hakeem said that he had three rounds of talks with the two Presidential Candidates representing the two major political parties and a decision will be taken in the next two weeks.
