Sangakkara Brand Ambassador for Hutch

Hutchison Telecommunications has signed up a 3-year contract with national cricketer Kumar Sangakkara, appointing him as their Corporate Brand Ambassador. Sangakkara will exclusively endorse all products and services offered by Hutchison Telecommunication during this period and will be the company's corporate spokesman at major events and launches.

Sangakkara's contribution to the national side, both as a frontline batsman and wicketkeeper, has been remarkable and he has won the admiration not only of his fans in Sri Lanka but also of cricket critics and enthusiasts worldwide. Sangakkara is currently ranked the sixth best ODI batsman in the world, according to the ICC's official player ratings, and he is also now widely regarded as one of the finest Test batsman in world cricket too, averaging over 50 last year.

"Sangakkara is an asset to our country," said Hutchison's Chief Executive Thirukumar Nadarasa. "Consistency, reliability and commitment to the game at all times were some of the rare qualities that attracted Hutch to Kumar," he added. "We all admire his stylish performance both on and off field.
