Three LTTEers killed

Three LTTE cadres have been killed and five others have been injured in an attack in Vakarai in the East yesterday.

Informed sources said that the victims, all from Trincomalee district ambushed by unidentified gunmen when they were standing at one of their sentry points at 8.30 am yesterday.

Vakarai where the incident took place is an LTTE controlled area. The SLMM is investigating the incident, sources said.

Earlier on Sunday an LTTE cadre was killed when the organisation's Kalawanchikudi office in the East was attacked.
