Ceylinco Life launches online payment facility for policyholders

A user-friendly, secure online facility for the payment of life insurance premiums has been launched by Ceylinco Life.

Policyholders who log in to the company's website (www.ceylincolife.com) and request a user name and password, will receive access to pay their premium using Visa credit cards, the company announced this week.

Online payment will also be available to account holders of Seylan Bank, who had their own eSEYpurse facility, the company said.

Any Ceylinco Life policyholder who accesses the site with his or her password will have up-to-date information on the premium amount, the due date, and other basic information regarding the life policy. The successful completion of every online payment will be instantly communicated to the user while online and be followed by an official receipt in the mail.

"This facility will be particularly useful to the large segment of Ceylinco Life policyholders living and working overseas," the company's Chief Executive Director R. Renganathan said.

"For many others in Sri Lanka, it will eliminate the need to pay a Sales Officer or visit a branch office," he said.

Policyholders who pay their premium through standing orders or via the Sri Lanka Inter-bank Payment System (SLIPS), however, would not need to pay on-line unless they choose to do so.

"The online payment gateway is one of several planned initiatives to enhance service and convenience for our policyholders," Renganathan said.
