CIMA SriLanka to go for computer based assessments
Sri Lanka a growing economy in the region could obtain more benefits
by investing more on professional examinations. This will give a win-win
situation both for business organisations and country in the long run,
the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) - Worldwide
President Ian Christison said.
He said that Sri Lanka is a wonderful country, which is growing at a
quite considerable pace. But its infrastructure development has still
more to grow to attract business outsourcing to the country. "We expect
more and more members, who will help not only us but also national
economy as well," he said.
Sri Lanka has been a success story and considered as the one of the
major CIMA student populations after UK which account for 10 per cent of
the total CIMA student population in the world, he said.
Christison also said that the number of students in Sri Lanka are on
the increase and hope to provide every possible help to enhance their
knowledge and skills to face business challenges, which will ultimately
benefit the national economy.
Sri Lanka will introduce computer-based assessments for Sri Lankan
students in keeping with modern technology while using the conventional
route. This will be started as a pilot project under the patronage of
the Student Council of Sri Lanka. (HS) |
