Suspects arrested in Kandy

The Headquarters Police of Kandy arrested two Tamil youths from Karaveddy, Jaffna loitering in the Kandy town during the second day of the Randoli Perahera on Tuesday.

Police suspected that the two aged 20 and 22 were looking for the whereabouts of the dignitaries who visited Kandy for the Esala Festival.

Meanwhile, police who took into custody six suspects including a woman near former Defence Deputy Minister Anuruddha Ratwatte's Mahaiyawa residence, found that one was a member of the LTTE Intelligence unit.
