Sparklink strengthens ties with China
SPARKLINK Travels, which has established very cordial relationship
with Travel, Tourism and Trade sectors in China over the past several
years, has very successfully been able to set up representative offices
in Beijing and Kunming, with the support and assistance of business
friends in China, of Nihal C. B. Perera, Chairman/Managing Director,
Sparklink Travels Ltd.
Nihal Perera, was one of the invitees for the inaugural Sri Lankan
Airlines launch of flights to Beijing, which he states will help to
promote Sri Lanka as a destination not only for leisure, but for
Trade/Investment promotion, Tea and other allied sectors between China
and Sri Lanka.
Over the past several years, Sparklink Travels have promoted the
Canton Trade Fair, and several Businessmen have achieved success, with
the support and assistance extended by Sparklink Travels, in terms of
services and other facilities to those who visited the Canton Trade
Fair.
In addition to the services extended to promote the Canton Trade
Fair, Sparklink has also been successful in promoting other Trade Fairs
in China, which has brought rewarding results to several business
organizations in Sri Lanka.
Nihal Perera maintains that, with the establishment of a
representative office of Sparklink Group, in Beijing and Kunming, the
bonds of friendship will be further strengthened and the future growth
of Travel, Tourism, Trade and Tea promotion in China, will be the
stepping stone towards further growth of business between China and Sri
Lanka.
Nihal is a former Director of the Ceylon Tourist Board, President -
Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka, Past President, IATA Agents
Association of Sri Lanka, Vice President, Sri Lanka Belgium Society, and
Council member, Sri Lanka China Society, which society has also
established excellent cordial relationship between China and Sri Lanka.
He also has an excellent track record with over 30 years in the
travel and tourism sectors and Sparklink, has been in the business of
Travel and Tourism, over 26 years.
Discussions have also been held with the Deputy Mayor of Kunming, Hon
Mr. Lei Xiao Ming on the setting up of a Sister City in the Southern
Province, which proposal has had the approval and support of the
Governor, Southern Province, Hon. Kingsley T. Wickramaratne. |
