Terrorist bombs rock London; 50 killed, 1,000 injured
AT LEAST 50 people were killed and 1,000 wounded in four blasts that
ripped through London's transport network at rush hour yesterday, Sky TV
said. Security sources told Reuters, people had been killed at all four
locations where explosions were heard and they suspected it was a
coordinated attack indicating international terrorists were responsible.

Anti-terrorism Bill passed with majority of 67
THE Convention on the Suppression of Terrorist Financing Bill was passed
in Parliament yesterday by a majority of 67 votes with 87 voting for and
20 against. This was the first time that a Bill was put for a vote in
the House following the UPFA's split in Parliament. The breakaway JVP
MPs now sitting in the Opposition benches too voted for the Bill.
