Mangala refuses to accept Hisbullah's resignation
Ports and Aviation Minister Mangala Samaraweera has declined to
accept the letter of resignation tendered by M.L.A M. Hisbullah from his
post as Chairman, Airport and Aviation Services(Sri Lanka)Ltd,at a time
when a major development programme in the Aviation sector had reached
critical stage.
Following is the full text of the Minister's
letter:
Dear Mr. Hisbullah.
Resignation from the Post of Chairman, AASL
I refer to your letter dated 27.06.2005 tendering your resignation
from the post of Chairman, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka)
Ltd.
I regret to inform that I am unable to accept your resignation at
this juncture when the major works under the JBIC funded BIA development
programme have reached a critical stage. Your continued presence in the
post therefore, would be essential to guide this programme to a
successful completion by August, 2005 and thereafter to prepare the
near-term investment programme for future developments at BIA.
I do hope that you will be able to reconsider matters in the light of
above and let me know of your decision'. |
