Lectra Grand Prix golf today

The Lectra Monthly Medal golf championship organised by the Victoria Golf and Country Resort will come to an end with the Grand Prix at the Victoria Golf Course today which commence at 7 a.m.

This golf championship which has drawn tremendous response from golfers all over the country has been sponsored for the past three years by Lectra Apparel Technologies (Pvt) Limited and without doubt has been one of the most successful monthly competitions conducted locally.

The Chairman of the Lectra Franco Apparel Technologies Rohan de Silva a top golfer having won monthly medal competition and also the prestigious Eberts Pot in the past told that he is happy that this monthly medal competition has helped many golfers to find their feet and out of which many young golfers have emerged. His efforts have been not in vain for Victoria Golf and Country Resort which was at that the youngest fully fledged golf club in the island.

In addition to the normal competitions such as Mens Gross Division, Mens Nett Division, Ladies Nett Division, Junior championship and the nine hole competition for the kids, there will be also entertainment golf in the form of Nearest to the Longest Drive, Wooden Spoon and several other individual awards.
