Premier's chopper in emergency landing

A chopper carrying Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse on his return journey from a function in Panduwasnuwara on Saturday evening was forced to land in Talawa due to a technical problem.

Another chopper was flown immediately to the spot pick up the Premier and his entourage.

The other chopper returned to Colombo yesterday following repairs.
