JCI Senators Club honours Kingsley

The JCI Senators Club of the Junior Chamber International Singapore held a dinner meeting at the 'Legend' - Singapore in Honour of Governor Kingsley T. Wickremaratne who is also a Senator of Junior Chamber International and served as an Executive Vice- President of Junior Chamber International.

Governor Kingsley T. Wickremaratne addressed the Jaycees on the devastation caused by the tsunami in Sri Lanka - and explained the Government's program in Mashaling, the private sector. NGO's, enterpreneurs and the International Community in the re-building and re-construction of the devastated area, and resettlement of the homeless.

The JCI Senators Club and the Singapore Jaycees has undertaken a project to sponsor 300 Fishing boats - and the project is co-ordinated by JCI Senator and Past President Isfani Sameen also present of the meeting was Sri Lanka's new High Commissioner W.S. Ratnewale.

Prior to Governor Wickremaratne's visit to Singapore, a JCI Senators team from Singapore arrived in Sri Lanka to assess the damage caused by the tsunami, the Team was headed by JCI Senator Dato Dr. Hain - Tsun Tan, who is also the founder - Chairman of the Crocodile Group of Companies in Singapore - and the President of the JCI Senators Club, Sherry Chow.
