Comfortably seated with characteristic ease on a chair in his room at
the Ceylon Continental Hotel, the fair complexioned, elderly looking,
Dr. Rasvinder Jit Singh, attired smartly in white and sporting an
equally speckless white turban and a flowing beard - was to some of us
who met him, the very picture of health, that bespoke of a man who was
at peace with himself and the world around.
This certainly did bear eloquent testimony of Dr. Rasvinder's
experience in the efficacy of alternative medicines, where through the
acknowledgement of God the creator, the seeker of a healthy mind within
a healthy body, is able to achieve it to a large extent, through natural
therapies without recourse to drugs or any form of medicine.
Dr. Rasvinder who is deeply committed to treating patients thus,
humbly acknowledges that this special art of his, is a blessing from
God, not to be kept for himself to remain and die, but to be shared
around the world in the service of humanity - where the main focus of
his life, is to cure all forms of diseases in people, without medicine.
Such a man as this, who is highly enthusiastic of establishing a clinic
of this nature in Sri Lanka, for the benefit of many and sportsmen too -
does merit a brief narrative here.
Dr. Rasvinder Jit Singh MD (AM) MINPA (AR), who hails from Punjab, is
a well known personality in the ambit of alternative medicines and is
considered amongst the top ten in Tndia, in the field of alternative
medicines a councillor of the Indian Board of Alternative medicines,
member of the Indian Nature Cure Practitioner's Association, and
Chairman of both the International Hospital of Natural Therapies, India
and of Ropar Nature Cure, India.
In addition Dr. Rasvinder has the distinction of being the chief
consultant of the Acumagnetic Treatment Centre in Oman, of being
visiting consultant to Dubai, Bahrain, Jordan and Cairo. In recognition
and appreciation of the services rendered by him in the alleviation of
pain and suffering of many, these past 22 years, he was the recipient of
two awards the 'Gold medal' and 'Shiromni' for alternative medicines.
It's against this background, expertise and knowledge that Dr.
Rasvinder wishes to bring to bear in setting up shortly an 'alternative
medicines' clinic in Sri Lanka just the way he did one in Oman.
In 'alternative medicine,' it was learnt that there were various ways
and systems for treating different ailments from A-Z (without medicine)
and what's most significant is that, the diagnosis is done by the mere
feeling of the patients' hands and not through X rays, scans and yet
other tests.
Dr. Rasvinder dwelt mainly on two curative systems that of
acupressure and magnet therapy and, of course the combination of both
referred to as acumagnetic system. The acupressure process has to do
with the pressing of the identified pressure points on the hands, feet
and the body to effect cure, and the system had its origin 6,000 years
ago in India.
He revealed that there are 72,000 nerve ending points that could be
pressed upon in the body and of this up to now, only 900 points have
been discovered. And of this 900 points, Dr. Rasvinder has made a switch
board of 34 points and, on learning of these 34 points, even a child of
10 years, could administer treatment to patients with chronic ailments
'acupressure' is considered the best first aid in the world and has
proved effective to cure nervous system diseases.
The magnet therapy was the outcome of deep research done in Germany,
Russia, Greece and India. It evolved from the basis that if the magnetic
field of sun, moon and earth effect human beings, it could be presumed,
that the human body itself has a magnetic field of its own.
He went onto explain that the magnet is usually associated with iron
and that human blood in addition to all the nutrients has a certain
amount of iron - and so reasoned that in addition to the magnetism of
earth, sun and moon, the magnet prepared from iron are used in the
treatment of human illness.
Magnet therapy is found to be the best to balance the blood
circulation system, and so it has been combined with acupressure to give
rise to the acumagnetic therapy that has proved beneficial to patients.
Dr. Rasvinder hopes to introduce the acumagnetic therapy here for the
first time no sooner he opens the alternative medicines' clinic. It will
have the potential to cure chronic diseases, with a speciality in spine,
epilepsy, migraine, asthma, hypertension - assist in the reduction of
weight and fat without dieting and exercise.
All this and more will help sportsmen to overcome stress and strain,
recover from their injuries e.g.; the pulling of a muscle on the ground
could be put right in one minute, by the body balancing technique -
sportsmen could also gain resistance power to perform better.
Dr. Rasvinder has also introduced to the world for the first time,
which would be operative here as well - the new technique, that is the
pyra magnetic sleeping system which is a mattress made up of 120 bipolar
magnets and 9,720 pyramids, so that anybody sleeping on this system will
get resistance power which could be of importance to sportsman, those
suffering from old age and yet other cute reverses.
There are about 23 instruments that could be made use of by patients
for treatment at home. More information of this art of healing could be
had from a seminar and conference that will precede the opening of the
clinic.
Dr. Rasvinder Jit Singh does in no way act contradictory to modern
medicine, he is complementary of its and, though not prescribing
medicine in any form does not stop the medication of the patients which
they receive from their physicians. |
