Chandana shines for Gloucs

Sri Lanka leg-spinner Upul Chandana took three wickets for 73 runs as Gloucestershire forced Glamorgan to follow-on on the second day of their county championship cricket match played at Cardiff.

Replying to Gloucestershire's mammoth first innings score of 466 (Chandana 14), Glamorgan were dismissed for 239 and following on were 93-1 with Chandana making the breakthrough. Chandana's Sri Lankan team mate Muttiah Muralitharan picked up two wickets for 45 runs to help Lancashire dismiss Derbyshire for 215.

By the close of the second day Lancashire had replied with 175-1. Sanath Jayasuriya failed twice with the bat for Somerset but took two wickets for two runs off three overs with his left-arm spin to dismiss Durham for 298 at Grangefield Road. The left-handed opener batting at no. 4 made two and 17 in Somerset's totals of 252 and 88-3 by the end of the second day.
