President visits Sri Saddatissa Int'l Buddhist Centre

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga made a surprise visit to the Sri Saddatissa International Buddhist Centre, London on Saturday April 23. During the forty five minute visit the President participated in the Buddha puja and received the blessings of the Maha Sangha and offered Pirikara.

The President also received the blessing from the Vishnu Kataragama Devalaya in the premises. Ven. Galayaye Piyadassi Thera Head of the Vihara, presented the President with a Golden Buddha Statue to mark the visit.

Afterward the President conversed with the Dayakayas and devotees who were present.
