Top travel trade positions change

Three key changes of top executives in the travel industry were made last week.

Director Galle Face Hotel Anura Lokuhetti has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Confifi Group of hotels. Lokuhetti who has been in the travel field for over 25 years mainly serving for Confifi group was attached to the Galle Face Hotel for over an year.

Veteran hotellier and Director Sales Jetwing Hotels, Lalin De Mel has tendered his resignation from the Company with effect from next June. He is expected to form his own company soon. Both Lokuhetti and De Mel also served as directors of Confifi.

The Director Marketing Taj Exotica, Beruwala, Chelan Gunatillake has been posted to the Taj hotel in the Maldives. Meanwhile Managing Director, Confifi Group Stefan Furkhan has migrated to Australia.
