Two titles for Nilupul

Indika Wettasinghe and Nilupul Goonesekera won the boys and girls titles at the Asian 14 years and Under tennis championship continued at at National Tennis Center courts, in Colombo yesterday.

Goonasekera beat Jithmi Jayawickrama 6/3,7/5 in the girls singles final. She also completed a double winning the Girls doubles title.

Partnered by Jithmi Jayawickrama, Goonasekera beat Shanelie Abeysekera and Amritha Muttiah 6/0,6/2 in the girls doubles final.

Wettasinghe, having lost the first set, staged a magnificent comeback to beat Guyanga Weerasekera 3/6,6/1,6/1 in the boys singles final. - (D.W.)
