Notice issued on Duminda Silva

COLOMBO High Court Judge Deepali Wijesundara issued summons on Western Provincial Counsellor Duminda Silva to be present before the court on June 09 with regard to indictment filed against him including abduction of an underaged girl and sexually abusing her.

A. L. R. Duminda Silva was indicted for abduction of a girl under 16 years, on July 18, 2003 and sexually abusing her on the same day.

M. N. Hanzil Ishak and D. K. Malan Francis Kuruppu were indicted for aiding and abetting him to abduct the underaged girl.

Judicial Medical Officer's report, a few letters, photographs and a birthday greeting card were among the production. Twenty three witnesses will give evidence.
