Future generations should be educated about Bandaranaike philosophy - Minister Jayasena

A good information network is needed to educate the future generations on the Bandaranaike philosophy. Late Prime Minister S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike was a distinguished politician who loved people, Women's Empowerment and Social Welfare Minister Sumedha G. Jayasena said.

Minister Jayasena expressed these views during the launch of 'Horagolle Arunalu' authored by Shriyananda Munasinghe held at National Library Services Board auditorium recently.

Minister Jayasena said that more writers should fill the existing vacuum and write about the Bandaranaike philosophy. This will help to create a better political environment. Most of the elders know a lot about the Bandaranaike philosophy, but the younger generation do not have a proper avenue to learn about it. Although the younger generation is very much interested in the Bandaranaike philosophy and the facts about the Bandaranaikes' they do not get adequate information.

Late Prime Minister S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike turned the country's political excursion towards the people and won the love of the masses. The world's first woman Prime Minister Sirimavo R.D. Bandaranaike rendered a great service to the country. President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has dedicated her life for the welfare of the Sri Lankan people. The facts on their lives and services done to the country will be a good example for the future politicians, the minister added.

Therefore more writers should write about the Bandaranaike philosophy and facts on the Bandaranaike family.
