ACCA exams go on-line
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, (ACCA) now offers
its students the facility of taking their examinations on-line.
This option of taking the examinations on line is now available
through the British Council in Colombo, who will administer and handle
student requirements and examinations independently. Students will have
the option of making payment to the British Council in either pounds or
rupees, which will reduce a student's administrative efforts and cost.
Online examinations can be taken for the ACCA Certified Accounting
Technician qualification - the Introductory and Intermediate part could
be done via Computer Based Examinations (CBE). The final parts are
written papers.
For the ACCA professional qualification, the first two subjects in
Part 1 can also be done on-line.
ACCA was the first professional accounting body to introduce CBE for
their examinations; this method of examinations has been practised since
1998, though is new to Sri Lanka.
ACCA Sri Lanka also reaffirms the global prestige and
ultra-contemporary nature of the range of qualifications offered by the
ACCA, which as a truly global professional accounting body, counts over
340,000 members and students in 160 countries.
The Association offers a comprehensive portfolio of qualifications
specifically tailored to the international business environment of the
day.
The move into the web based medium has been welcomed by students and
professionals alike as a responsible step towards bringing ACCA closer
to an even wider global accounting fraternity. |
