Kingsley represents Lanka at Boao Forum
Governor Kingsley T. Wickramaratne who serves on the Advisory Council
of the Boao Forum for Asia left for the Annual Conference 2005 to be
held from April 19 to 30 in Hainan, China to participate in the Advisory
Council and Annual General meetings of BFA.
The theme of the BFA Annual Conference 2005 is "Asia Searching For
Win-Win - New Role For Asia".
In 2003, the sleepy fishing village of Boao was transformed into one
of the finest convention sites of the world with the 5 star Boao Sofitel
Convention Hotel and the Boao Forum for Asia Convention Hall with a
capacity for 5000 people equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities.
The second and the third BFA Annual Conference were held here in
November 2003 and April 2004 respectively.
The Conventions were attended by prominent Heads of States such as
Premier Wen Jiabao of China, President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan,
Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong of Singapore as well as over 2000
distinguished guests from the political, business and academic
communities. |
