Grateful to numerous donors for relief

We are grateful to numerous donors who contacted us upon the appealing of the news release that was published in the daily News on April 7, 2005. Many donors responded to help financially to have this Project implemented.

We are pleased to state that one of our well wishers has come forward and donated Rs. 1.5 Million towards this worthy cause which will facilitate for the Provision of Land to relocate the School. (Al-Hithaya Vidyalaya, Pottuvil)

Had this fund not come on time the people of this area would have lost the privilege of this school. The investment of Rs. 44.5 m pledged by Unicef to rebuild this school. Arrangements have now been made by the Zonal director of Education and the Divisional Secretary of Pottuvil in consultation with UNICEF to hand over the site to commence construction by UNICEF.

The All Ceylon YMMA Conference wish to thank all those who contacted us and we will keep them informed of future projects so that they will avail themselves of this opportunity to help the poor through recognized N.G.O. like ours so that it will reach the deserved ones, states the National General Secretary M.
