Ganguly banned for six games

AHMEDABAD, Tuesday (Reuters) - India captain Saurav Ganguly was banned for six one-dayers on Tuesday for his team's repeated slow over rate in the series against Pakistan, an Indian cricket official said.

Indian cricket board joint secretary Goutam Das Gupta told reporters that International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee Chris Board had conveyed the decision to the team.

India and Pakistan are level at 2-2 in the six-match series after Pakistan's thrilling last-ball victory in Ahmedabad. Ganguly will miss the last two games in Kanpur (April 15) and New Delhi (April 17).
