Kiwis seek redemption against Sri Lanka
NEW ZEALAND'S cricketers are hoping to redeem themselves after their
heavy loss to Australia when the first test against Sri Lanka starts
at McLean Park in Napier on Monday. With Muttiah Muralitharan
unavailable as he recovers from injury and Sri Lanka playing their
first test since October, the New Zealanders are hoping for an
easier time than the mauling they received from the Australians.

Avishka returns to bolster Lankan 'A' batting
The fickle weather which Colombo has been experiencing for the past
five days or so has extended its tentacles to Asgiriya, Kandy -
venue of the first 4-day unofficial cricket test between Sri Lanka
'A' and Pakistan 'A'. Sri Lanka 'A' were deprived of any practice in
the morning when it rained on and often and were forced to do light
training under a steady drizzle before winding their way back to the
'Citadel'.
