Photographic exhibition on tsunami affected libraries in Sri Lanka

A photographic exhibition on tsunami affected libraries in Sri Lanka will be inaugurated by Minister of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage, Vijitha Herath at the National Library exhibition Centre at 9.30 a.m. on Friday March 4.

Nearly 350 libraries on the coastal belt of Sri Lanka have either been destroyed or severely affected by the tidal waves on December 26, 2004. The photographs at the exhibition will depict the damages caused to school, public and other types of libraries by tsunami.

The Exhibition which has been organized by the National Library and Documentation services Board (NLDSB) will be open to the public from 5th March 2005 to 4th April 2005 at the National Library, 14, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.
