Severe punishment for defectors - WCA President

It takes years of training and much money to coach cricketers to face an international side and to find them defecting on tours is something that I will severely deal with during my tenure as President.

"We are left helpless when these girls defect from airports the way our former captain and two others did on their return from West Indies. "The sad part of it is that we won all seven one-day internationals against the West Indies and lost the captain and two players. Now they come back crawling and I will have nothing to do with them," Gwen Herat, President, CASL told the "Daily News".

At the forthcoming AGM scheduled for March 12 before the team leaves for South Africa as few officials are included and who have to be present at the AGM we shall table a motion to ban all defectors for a minimum period of four years.

'If we do not inculcate discipline what is the use of playing international cricket. As much as development of this national game is important so is discipline especially because the game revolves around females and I am very open about this factor.
