VSNL Lanka launches Tata Indicom calling cards VSNL Lanka Limited (VLL) last week launched the Tata Indicom Global Calling Card its first retail telecom offering in Sri Lanka. Tata Indicom Global Calling Card is the first-of-its-kind and innovative telecom offering for Sri Lankans travelling abroad. Tata Indicom Global Calling Card will enable the Outbound Sri Lankan travellers to make inbound calls to Sri Lanka at tariffs, which are upto 80% lower than other forms of telecom offerings serving the same need. The users of Tata Indicom Global Calling can presently call Sri Lanka from over 25 countries spanning four continents. The launch took place in Colombo last week. S. K. Gupta, Chairman, VLL said, "India and Sri Lanka have had strong ties since times immemorial and share a lot in common. Our endeavour is to further strengthen the relationship and bring both the countries even more closer through a host of communication solutions. "When VSNL embarked on its journey to become a global telecom solutions provider, Sri Lanka was the first international initiative undertaken by us. We are committed to bring the very latest of telecommunications technology, products and services across all customer segments in the Emerald Island," Gupta said. Tata Indicom Global Calling Cards can be purchased by Sri Lankans travelling abroad in the local currency thus saving precious foreign exchange for making inbound calls. The cards will be useful to all traveller segments. |
