Vanguard Management Services (Pvt) Ltd., the Managing Company of ETV has launched an initiative to disseminate information about people affected in Sri Lanka and abroad. This involves operating a call centre round the clock and posting information on a www.soslanka.com. The call centre will accept calls in Sinhala and Tamil and will gather information on reported deaths, reported missing people, people who survived and seeking assistance from their friends and relatives and Inquiries made about people living in affected areas. This will enable people around the world gain access to information about people affected by the recent disastrous tsunami tidal wave attack. This socially responsible project is operational since December 29. There will be two hunting lines (for Sinhala and Tamil each) with operators working round the clock assisting callers on information they require.
