Treasury Bills auction oversubscribed The weekly primary auction for the re-issue of Rs. 6,464 million out of maturing Rs. 6,759 million Treasury Bills was held yesterday. The auction was oversubscribed with bids amounting to Rs. 13, 215 million being received. At the Treasury Bill Tender Committee it was recommended to accept the entire amount on offer Rs. 6,464 million from the market. The after tax weighted average yield rate (WAYR) of 91 day, 182 day and 364 day bills remained unchanged at 7.25 %, 7.40 % and 7.65 % respectively, compared with those of previous week, a press release by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka stated. |
