LIOC shares open for trade tomorrow

The shares of Lanka IOC Ltd. will be listed on the Main Board of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) on December 22, the CSE announced yesterday.

The shares would be classified under the Power and Energy sector and the deposits will be accepted by the Central Depository Sytems (Pvt) Ltd., with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, the stock analysts said they expected the LIOC shares to be one of the most liquid stocks in the Colombo bourse.

"With the Initial Public Offering being heavily oversubscribed we anticipate significant investor interest on the stocks in the secondary market which invariably would generate healthy returns in the range of 80 to 100 percent for those who subscribed to the IPO.
