Turmoil in Parliament continued for the third day yesterday, this time the Tamil National Alliance occupying centre stage when its members strode to the well of the House blocking the entry of the Speaker in the aisle at the commencement of sittings in their attempt to grab at the Mace from the Serjeant-at-arms.

Book titled 'Chandrika - Recollections of a decade' to be presented to President on Sunday

The first copy of a book titled Chandrika - Recollections of a decade (Dashakayaka Mathakaya) written by ANCL Chairman Janadasa Peiris to mark the President's tenth anniversary in office will be presented to President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga by the writer at the Nilwala Harasara concluding ceremony to be held in Matara on December 12.
