Poet Kaweshwara's - Mayura Sandeshaya went on the boards at the Lionel Wendt theatre recently.

A talented youth coming into lime light with his excellent and exceptionally exquisite exhibition of creative expression of captivating dancing patterns, mingling with the correct combination of professional personalities, held the distinguished audience spell-bound, at the Lionel Wendt, depicting dramatically the most sensational and the most difficult drama which moved in sequence - the renowned Mayura Sandeshaya, reverberating the entire hall with acclamation of joy and enthusiasm.

Directing the most dazzling damsels depicting vivid colourful items, dancing to the accompaniment of re-generating rhythms and displaying dancing dramatically in accordance with the narrations, proved "the class by itself of this youths inherent talents.

He is none other than Chandana Wickremasinghe who has in his little way, brought so much of fame to our island nationally and internationally.

He is capable of creating more wonders with spectacular and spirited dancing styles in keeping with our national, cultural traditions.

The rhythmic accuracy and precision and the magnificent movements of his dancers clearly displayed his disciplined domination of direction which undoubtedly is the key note of his success.

We as lovers and admirers of fine arts should encourage and acknowledge his natural innate and inherent talents, his abilities and capabilities and bless the lad to go ahead with his astonishing and outstanding artistic adventures and his arduous achievements in the arena of dramatic and dancing dimensions.

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks also should be extended to the directors of 'Swarnavahini' for providing the opportunity to wintess this rare fantastic dance.
