Qatar Airways opens Passenger Sales Services Agency in Wennappuwa Two months after opening its first dedicated office outside Colombo, Qatar Airways opened its second Passenger Sales Services Agency (PSSA) in Wennappuwa on Sunday. Qatar Airways appointed "Haifa Travels and Tours (Pvt) Ltd" for their Wennappuwa operation, which will operate independently with an own sales team serving Qatar Airways clients in the district of Puttalam, covering a large area from Negombo up to Puttalam. Kamal Hassan, Chairman of 'Haifa Travels and Tours' and Danny Schepers, Area Manager Sri Lanka and the Maldives for Qatar Airways opened the Qatar Airways Agency during a brief ceremony. Schepers said the opening of this second dedicated Qatar Airways office outside Colombo, is part of the airline expansion plans both internationally and in Sri Lanka to bring its products and services close to its customers. With two daily flights between Colombo and Doha, serving 53 destinations worldwide, Qatar Airways has quickly grown to be a major carrier, offering a high quality product at very competitive prices. With four Qatar Airways flights weekly to Milan and Rome, people in the Puttalam district are well served. From next summer, all Qatar Airways flights to Milan and Rome will become non-stop operations, resulting in reduced flying times and increased seat capacity. Qatar Airways has embarked on a fast growth path on the international scene. After having been awarded the prestigious five-star ranking by Skytrax earlier this year, Qatar Airways' cabin crew has now been recognised as one of the best in the Middle East region and the fifth in the world. |
