Special Presidential Commissions of Inquiry Bill was introduced in
Parliament, the UNP Parliamentarians, with one accord, raised their hands
in support of its enactment. For the next 16 long years of the UNP
administration this piece of legislation was in the Statute book and
neither the UNP Parliamentarians including Ranil Wickremesinghe nor their
leaders - the three Presidents J.R. Jayewardene, R. Premadasa and D.B.
