Selector's comments spurred us on, says Sri Lanka skipper

LAHORE, Pakistan, Sunday

Critical comments by Sri Lanka's chief selector Asantha De Mel spurred Sri Lanka on to win the three-nation one-day final against Pakistan on Saturday said captain Marvan Atapattu. "That can be one reason for our performance. It was a big motivation factor for us to show everyone what we are capable of," Atapattu said after the emphatic 119-run victory.
