The first question that I would ask myself is this. In the 56 years since Independence, have governments been responsive? That is, to the welfare of the people and the long term sustainable development of the country. Here, we are basically looking at the conduct and functioning of our political class. Although it is popular in present times to berate politicians and question as to what they had done, it would be important to be neither cynical nor irritable.
