AFC honours late Anandaraja

The Asian Football Confederation, in appreciation of the tremendous work put in by the late J.S.N. Anandaraja for the development of the game internationally will present a cheque for US $ 100 thousand to Anandaraja's son Ramkumar who has flown in from Canada to accept the donation.

Mohammed Bin Hammam, President of AFC who worked closely with Anandaraja and who always admired his hardwork will present the award. Aanandaraja at the time of his untimely demise was the most senior official serving in the FFSL. He held many posts in the FFSL crowning it by being its President.

He also served in the Disciplinary Committee of the AFC. It was Anandaraja to whom Manilal Fernando and FIFA turned to, to start and supervise the work at the Baddegana Training Centre which is yet another FIFA Goal Project.
