8 Kg claymore mine unearthed by Asanga Warnakulasuriya The Army and Valachchenai Police in a joint operation on Monday night discovered an eight kg claymore mine in Maankani, Valachchenai and apprehended a suspected LTTE cadre. An officer of the Valachchenai Police told the Daily News yesterday that the suspect was arrested while he was unearthing the bomb which was buried in the backyard of his home. |
