Bomb rocks Indonesian embassy in Paris PARIS, Friday (Reuters) A bomb exploded in front of the Indonesian embassy in Paris before dawn on Friday, causing minor injuries to about 10 people, French radio station Europe 1 reported. Windows in nearby buildings were shattered by the blast in the wealthy 16th arrondissement in the western part of the city, it said, quoting firemen at the scene. "It was caused by a package bomb placed just in front of the embassy," the radio's reporter on the scene said. "The explosion was quite strong ... several vehicles were damaged and windows in neighbouring apartments were shattered." Police refused immediate comment and the fire department would only confirm that an explosion had taken place but had not caused much damage to the building. |
