by Manjula Fernando Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Ray was scheduled to arrive in the country on a four day official visit last night. She will hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar at the foreign Ministry this evening. Minister Kadirgamar is expected to brief the visiting Swiss counterpart the current state of the peace process while issues concerning bilateral trade and economic relations will take up centre stage, Foreign Ministry sources confirmed. Calmy-Ray will call on President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga at the President's House on Monday and on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse on Tuesday. According to Foreign Ministry sources, the Swiss Foreign Minister will meet Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe on Sunday. She will leave the country on Tuesday. |
