'High spenders destination' status for Lanka in tourism re-think

Tourism has created thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities while nurturing millions of households whose only income is earned through the industries related to travel and tourism. Sri Lankan Tourism is being upgraded as a product and as a destination in many different ways to benefit a large number of people including tourists and the industry dependents.
