former Consultant Physician to the Armed Services and Honorary Physician
to the then Governor General of Sri Lanka. Son of the late Mr and Mrs
Danny Fernando of Kollupitiya, beloved husband of Mallika, father of
Ananda, Savithrie and Anil (all of UK), much loved grandfather of Annette,
Alain, Roshan and Jeewan, brother of Bertram (Rtd. GM, CEB), Terence (UK),
Felicia, Shiela, Donald, Shirley, Dr Upali (Hong Kong), Shirani,
brother-in-law of Seetha, Connie, late Dr Prem Weerakoon (Kandy), M.L.
Fernando (Rtd. Director of Commerce), Yasmin, Anula, Kokilani and Dr
Sunanda Jayaratne (Croydon, UK), expired on the 12th August in Dartford,
England. His final obsequies were performed on the 17th August at the
Eltham Crematorium in Kent. Friends and relations are kindly requested to
