Flash: Fire at Bata stores

The Bata Company, Katubedda stores caught fire around 10pm yesterday. A spokesman for Mount Lavinia police said they were informed that seven fire engines had been sent to douse the fire.

Police said officers had gone to the spot and it was too early to comment about the cause of the fire.
