No emergency in WP No emergency has been declared in the Western Province as some newspapers stated yesterday. A Government Information Department release said no emergency had been declared within the Western Province as steps have been taken to protect the Colombo City. The statement issued to the media attributing its content to the Secretary Public Security, Law and Order Ministry Tilak Ranaviraja said the government has taken no decision to impose emergency within the Western Province as the Government has taken steps to maintain law and order as declared earlier. |
