Chairman G.M.S. de Silva (U.N.P.) said on Tuesday August 02. De Silva said so taking the chair at the monthly meeting of the U.C. adopting a resolution to thank Shan Wijayalal de Silva on his elevation to the high post of Chief Minister of the Southern Provincial Council. "Shan hold his SPC membership undefeated since 1993, winning all past elections except two general elections" the Chairman said. "It is the duty of the Ambalangoda U.C. to be happy with others when they are happy with Shan's elevation to the C.M. post," he said. "Shan is among many others who brought fame and glory to Ambalangoda in various fields but his becoming the administrator the province must be highly recognised" the Chairman said. Sarath Sri-Lal (UNP) Vice-Chairman wishing Shan all good luck, said that Shan was full of all humanitarian qualities". |
