Jaffna students excel at A/L

Fifty six students have obtained 3As in the Jaffna District with Vembadi Girls College getting the best results followed by Jaffna Hindu College and Chavakachcheri Hindu College.

Twelve students from Vembadi Girls College have obtained 3As - the best results so far achieved - with Jaffna Hindu taking second place with 11 As and Chavakachcheri Hindu ranking third with 6 As.

In the Mathematics stream, Sathananda Sarma Ramanan of Jaffna Hindu College ranks first in the Jaffna District and seventh at national level.

In the biology stream Sivakuamran Sayantha of St. John's College was the first at the district level and 17th at national level.

In the arts stream Kumaravadivel Guruparan of Jaffna Hindu College was first at district level and third place at national level. He obtained a B grade for English.
